Configuration and parameterization
Installing a Siav solution is only the first step toward realizing an efficient solution that can meet the needs and expectations of the customer.
Analyzing the issues and drafting a detailed implementation plan describing the functionalities that must be made available and the necessary configurations constitute the preparatory phase for implementing them within the Siav application platform. It is in this phase that the activities of the service are requested, which are needed to implement the Siav solutions, making them operational and usable by the final users.
Base configuration of the Siav platform
This band includes all the activities tied to the basic configuration of the system. Examples of these activities include:
- Configuration of organization charts, archives and a document types.
- Definition of models for spooling, scanbatching and import/export.
- Integration with electronic mail systems.
- Hostlink/weblink configuration.
- Configuration of remote sites for managing distributed images.
Advanced configurations requiring scripts
This band includes all activities tied to advanced system configuration, which normally requires writing script code for the server side as well as the client side. It should be remembered that the Application Management Service does not guarantee support of these kinds of configurations, and that support must be integrated with the appropriate Custom Implementation Support Service (SSIC).
Implementing workflow processes
This band includes all the activities tied to the realization of workflow processes connected with the Siav Business Process Management solutions. These activities involve the graphic design of the processes, including defining the activities, as well as scripting the necessary automation to satisfy customer requirements. It should be remembered that the Application Management Service does not guarantee support of these kinds of configurations, and that support must be integrated with the appropriate Custom Implementation Support Service (SSIC).
Implementing third-party system integration
This band includes all the activities tied to the processes of integrating the software of Third Parties not certified by Siav. For example, this band includes integration with uncertified ERP/CRM systems as well as integration with Web portals and other vertical applications of the Customer. It should be remembered that the Application Management Service does not guarantee support of these kinds of configurations, and that support must be integrated with the appropriate Custom Implementation Support Service (SSIC).
